Stewardship Code

Rule 2.2.3R of the Financial Conduct Authority’s Conduct of Business Sourcebook requires that Symmetry Investments UK LLP (“Symmetry” or “the Firm”) makes a website disclosure in respect of the nature of its commitment to the UK Financial Reporting Council’s UK Stewardship Code (the “Code”) or, where it does not commit to the Code, its alternative investment strategy. The Code is a voluntary code and sets out a number of principles relating to engagement by investors in UK-listed companies.

Symmetry pursues an investment strategy that seeks to integrate relative value trading and diversified global macro trading into a single strategy and as such invests across a variety of asset classes and markets globally. This strategy has very little exposure to UK listed issuers and where such exposure is taken through the strategy it is not realised through individual equity investments. Therefore, whilst Symmetry supports the objectives that underlie the Code, we have chosen not to commit to the Code. Should the Firm’s investment strategy change in such a manner that the principles of the Code become relevant, we will reconsider our position under the Code.
